Monday Night Lessons 2012 sessions
This year we are adding some EDUCATIONAL LESSON sessions to offer the youth and parents the opportunity to “learn before you bring your horse” to riding lessons.
LOCATION: UW Extension 864 Collins Rd Jefferson, WI 53549
Start time: 7 pm
- Monday February 6th – Topic: Safety & equipment tips “the need to knows” & “the how to’s”
- Monday February 13th – Topic: Patterns explained for the youth & their parents (Showmanship/Equitation/Horsemanship and Trail); what to expect/ how to look at a pattern and know what it means plus more. PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO COME TO THIS SESSION so we can answer any questions and help go over what the Horse & Pony project offers and more.
- Monday February 27th – Topic: “Advance Patterns” how get the best out of your pattern (Showmanship/Equitation/Horsemanship and Trail)
- Monday March 5th – Topic: Safety & equipment tips “the need to knows” & “the how to’s”
- Monday March 12th – Topic: Patterns explained for the youth & their parents (Showmanship/Equitation/Horsemanship and Trail); what to expect/ how to look at a pattern and know what it means plus more. PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO COME TO THIS SESSION so we can answer any questions and help go over what the Horse & Pony project offers and more.
- Monday March 19th – Topic: “Advance Patterns” how get the best out of your pattern (Showmanship/Equitation/Horsemanship and Trail)
- Monday April 2nd – Topic: Safety & equipment explained & OPEN MIC; Q/A with older youth. (“bring in your tack & we’ll bring in ours”)
- Monday April 9th – Topic: Speed (Gymkhana), Safety and information (what you need to know to prepare yourself and your horse)
Monday Night Lessons WITH horses to Start April 23rd, 2012 @ the Fair Park
